A Sunday in the snow....

On Sunday, Daddy had plans with his friend over a year now for an all star hockey game practice - so he was very sad to not be spending the afternoon in the newly fallen snow with Matthew. But, Matthew and I ventured out with Mr. Bob, Miss Peggy, and Liz to a nearby school for some sledding. Matthew had never really gone sledding down a hill before, and Mr. Bob was VERY excited to take him. It took me a while to get him dressed in layers and in the car, but once he saw Chris put the sled in the back, he was excited.

He wasn't really into sledding down the hill, and seemed to find more fun in walking up the hill and making snowballs and a big snowmen. That doesn't mean our little daredevil didn't go down the hill at all! The best though was when he was pulling his own little sled up the hill, it started to come back to him, and then he fell right into it and was on his way down the hill all by himself. He turned and looked at all of us at the top of the hill and we cheered for him!

He was a tired little boy when we got home for sure! Liz hung out with matthew and I and we had some lunch, then he napped and I got to run to the store by myself while Liz kept an eye on the napping cutie! We then found all of my old scrapbook stuff and stamps and made some fun Valentine boxes. (Pictures will come later, but Matthew may have made a secret Valentine that hasn't been revealed yet :) He does love to color, stamp, and practice cutting so there was a mixture of things involved! He also loves to draw his hands right now, he loves that. We are also trying to work on letters, but it's hard to teach a concept like that too him - but he is starting to identify colors with signs, so maybe soon!!!
