Fast forward 4 years....

Four years ago today, my Mom was fighting for her life in the hospital. I was sitting with my sister, holding Mom's hand, as she was fighting for her life. We were told time and time again that Mom may not survive, and she was in for the fight of her lives, all due to an accidental perforation of her esophagus. We entered that fight with her, surrounded by friends, family, and our faith...she overcome unbelievable odds, and I am so thankful for the SURVIVOR that my Mom is, not only in this life event, but so many things that she has survived in life including the sudden loss of her husband, my Dad.

We are the luckiest people in the world to be able to call this amazing woman, Mom - and now for my Matthew to have his Mom-Mom. She is such a survivor, and I am so blessed to have her in my life. There are always things in life you wish never happened to you - but check out this beautiful woman who has taught me and so many others a thing about survival!!!

Wow -- your family has been through some significant experiences. Neat to be able to read how thankful you are in the midst of it all.
