A Mommy and me moment....
First of all, I am embarrassed to even see how far behind I am on blogging, honestly where does the time go?? Thank goodness for the ability to change post dates, etc and put them in "real time" - haha! Anyway, to the fun stuff.....
I think we have mentioned before, our little Matthew LOVES to be in the pool. Our wonderful neighbor friends have an indoor pool and they often invite us over for swimming and for some of their Sunday evening barbeques which we love. This Sunday was no different, but yet so fun. They decided to have some friends over for food, drinks, swimming, and spending time with friends and it was just what the doctor ordered :)
Matthew is still wearing his little swim vest that Aunt Meg's gave him in May, but we are thinking it may not be needed much longer. Matthew has totally learned to use his legs to kick and was using his arms to swim across the pool on Sunday. He has a routine at Mr. Bob's house. He swims for a while, comes out and gets something to eat that Mr. Bob makes him (scallops, steak, chicken, ribs, his own set of potatoes - yes, he's spoiled by them!!!) After he takes a few bites, it's back in the pool and he swam Sunday for 3 hours!!!
My husband decided when that when that congo line came on the radio that it was time for everyone to line up and do funny dives, jumps, or bellyflops in the pool, and that is what everyone did!!! All of a sudden Matthew gets out of the pool, gets in line, and jumps off diving board! We were floored that he did this because we couldn't even get him to jump off the side at first. Well, he thought that was awesome, swam himself to the ladder, climbed out and jumped many many more times. He wanted to be like the big kids and sure did he get to do just what they did!!! Eventually he was getting slower and slower and CHris and I decided he had enough. He fussed a little getting out of the pool but signed tubby time as soon as we walked in the house, and after he was all clean and in his PJs, it was seconds before he was fast asleep. There was a lot of laughter this night and memories made for sure. Enjoy some of the pictures of the kids!!!

I want to come to one of those pool parties! You and Matthew look so adorable together. Nothing like a day in the pool for good rest later!
